March 23-24 North Carolina Event Welcomes Nation’s Top Authors,
Apologists and Influencers, Including Todd Starnes and Lauren Green
GREENSBORO, N.C.—Church and state issues, religious liberties and the intersection of faith and politics have been top headlines over the past year. And Fox News hosts Todd Starnes and Lauren Green have been there to cover them all.
Both will be featured speakers at the 2018 Truth for a New Generation (TNG) conference organized by religion and culture expert and author Dr. Alex McFarland. The event is set for March 23-24, 2018, at Life Community Church, 4900 W. Wendover Ave., Jamestown (the greater Greensboro area) in North Carolina.
“Todd Starnes brings issues of religious freedom and the protection of the nation’s heritage in front of the American people like no one else,” said McFarland, who is also Director for Christian Worldview and Apologetics at the Christian Worldview Center of North Greenville University in Greenville, S.C. “We’re honored to welcome him to Truth for a New Generation, as Todd puts today’s pressing issues in the faces of all Americans in an entertaining and enlightening way, and truly makes them think.
“And if there’s a faith topic that should be front-and-center for Christians, Lauren Green takes an intelligent and very real look at the issue and shares it with millions of viewers,” McFarland added. “I am thrilled to welcome my friend to our apologetics conference later this month, and I know our attendees will be moved and deeply affected by her talk.”
Starnes is a popular Fox News commentator and columnist heard daily on hundreds of radio stations around the nation. He also makes regular appearances on Fox News Channel, including on “Fox & Friends,” and on Fox Business Network. His syndicated column and blog are read by millions.
Starnes has been at Fox News for more than a decade, and pollster George Barna included him as one of the top media influencers for evangelical Christians in the 2016 presidential election. Starnes has covered some of the biggest stories of the past 10 years—from presidential campaigns to the culture wars—interviewing an array of newsmakers and celebrities. His annual Fox News Radio Christmas show has become a national yuletide tradition featuring some of the biggest names in contemporary Christian music.
He is the recipient of a regional Radio Television Digital News Association’s Edward R. Murrow Award and an Associated Press Mark Twain Award for storytelling.
