Religion and culture expert Dr. Alex McFarland (www.AlexMcFarland.com), Director of Christian Worldview and Apologetics at North Greenville University, is encouraging Americans to thank First Lady Melania Trump for the White House’s return to Christmas traditions.
A recently released video on the First Lady’s Facebook page notes, “The decorations are up! The White House is ready to celebrate! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season!”
In stark contrast to the previous administration known for removing the traditional nativity scene from the White House, this year’s public announcement signals a full embrace of the true reason for Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ.
McFarland’s Facebook post shared the First Lady’s video, noting, “Thankful to see Christmas fully embraced at the White House this year. This video, including the manger scene, says it all. Thank you First Lady Melania Trump.”
“Despite many concerning issues in our culture,” McFarland further noted, “this announcement is worth celebrating. I want to encourage Americans who agree Christmas is important to extend thanks to our First Lady Melania Trump and share her encouraging video with others. As we do, we continue to focus on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ—the only true hope for our nation.”
