Author, Preacher and Religion/Culture Expert Says There’s No Better Time to Pray and Petition for Our Nation

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—With violence permeating many U.S. cities, the family structure breaking down across America, and one of the most crucial elections in history approaching, there’s no better time to pray.

It’s for this reason that Dr. Alex McFarland, Covenant Love Church and the American Family Association are partnering for “Heart & Soul: A Night of Prayer and Worship” on Sept. 16 at Festival Park in Fayetteville, N.C.

McFarland (www.AlexMcFarland.com), a nationally known pastor, religion and culture expert, radio and television host, and author of the new book “Stand Strong America,” will open the four-hour event with a 5 p.m. prayer rally, followed by a time of worship.

“In helping to plan this amazing event, we have already felt God at work,” McFarland said. “Last year, more than 2,000 attended a night of prayer and worship in Festival Park, and we are looking forward to even more this year. There couldn’t be a better time for community members to come together for the sole purpose of petitioning God with prayer and praising His name. McFarland hosts a daily show on American Family Radio, a division of the American Family Association, called “Exploring the Word,” co-hosted with Bert Harper.
