UK moves to ban puberty blockers for minors; Dr. Alex McFarland urges America to follow suit to protect children and the future of the nation

‘The American government is too busy bowing down to the idol of progressive ideology to consider what is best for youth’

GREENSBORO, N.C. United Kingdom Health Secretary Wes Streeting recently announced his intention to indefinitely ban puberty blockers for children under 18, except for use in clinical trials. Independent experts noted there was “an unacceptable safety risk in the continued prescription of puberty blockers to children,” with one professional describing puberty blockers as “powerful drugs with unproven benefits and significant risks.”

Even while celebrating this unprecedented move towards public safety in the United Kingdom, youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland is calling for a similar ruling to protect America’s children.

“What on Earth is wrong with the American government? Despite a recent case before the Supreme Court debating the use of puberty blockers on minors, there has yet to be a unified movement to protect innocent children from the harmful effects of hormone therapy,” said McFarland. “Puberty blockers have been shown to cause sterility, cardiovascular disease, weight gain, and even raise the likelihood of developing cancer — and these effects could last a lifetime even once the treatment ends. Thank God that the authorities in the U.K. are starting to take the proper precautions when it comes to puberty blockers, but tragically the American government is too busy bowing down to the idol of progressive ideology to consider what is best for children. Liberals would rather disfigure American children in order to prove a political point.”

Alex McFarland currently co-hosts Exploring the Word on the American Family Radio Network, airing daily on nearly 200 radio stations across the U.S. He is also the host of the “Alex McFarland Show,” which airs weekly on NRB TV and YouTube. The “Alex McFarland Show” podcast is available here.
