About Hosting
- What are the event requirements?
Please review these guidelines before submitting your speaking request.
- Minimum attendance of 400 or 80% venue occupancy required. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Event must be free of charge to all attendees
- Alex must not have spoken at your venue in the past 3 years
- Any other speakers must be uncompensated or compensated equivalently
- Church provides attendee emails for ministry follow-up so our organization can send each an email asking them to be added to our regular ministry update emails
- Excludes coliseum venues, graduations, building dedications, existing seminar formats
- How much does it cost?
Revive US events are completely free for attendees — no tickets, no registration fees, no donations required at the door. For churches, there is no speaking fee. The only cost to your church is reimbursing Alex’s travel expenses (flights, hotel, and ground transportation). Donors to Alex McFarland Ministries fund the Revive US program. Your church may choose to take a voluntary offering to support the ministry, but it’s not required.
- Is there a guarantee my church will be accepted?
Not every application is accepted. We review each request based on venue capacity, geographic fit, scheduling availability, and alignment with the Revive US mission. Churches that partner with neighboring congregations to promote the event and meet attendance guidelines tend to be the strongest candidates. If your application isn’t accepted for this cycle, we’ll let you know why and whether reapplying for a future date makes sense.
- How long before I know if my church is accepted?
You’ll receive a decision within 15 days of submitting your application. Our team will follow up directly with next steps if your church is selected.
- How is this different than booking Alex for a normal speaking engagement?
When you book Alex through the normal speaking page, there’s a speaking fee, and the event is typically tailored to your church’s specific needs — Sunday services, leadership training, retreats, and so on. Revive US is a separate, donor-funded program designed for large-scale community outreach. There’s no speaking fee, the event must be free to the public, and the content focuses specifically on apologetics, biblical worldview, and evangelism. Think of it as Alex coming to serve your community, not just your congregation.
- How long is a Revive US event?
Flexible. Events can be structured as a single evening, a two-day series, or a full weekend. The format is decided in advance with your church leadership based on what works best for your venue, your community, and your goals. Most churches choose a Friday-Saturday or Thursday-Saturday format.
- What is Alex speaking about at these events?
Every Revive US event may cover up to four core areas: Apologetics (the evidence for Christianity), Biblical Worldview (using Scripture for daily life and decisions), Eschatology (what the Bible says about the end times — informed, not afraid), and Evangelism (how to share and discuss your faith with others).
The focus is on answering the following questions:
- Is there evidence that God is real and Jesus is the only way to heaven?
- Whose truth is true and what does that even mean?
- Should our Christian faith guide government and our daily lives?
- How will we recognize the end times?
- Does God care about me?
- What does a typical event look like?
A typical Revive US event includes 2-4 teaching sessions from Alex, each running 45-60 minutes, with live Q&A built into every session. Attendees can ask anything — no topic is off limits. Events are held at your church venue, and the atmosphere is energetic but accessible. People who’ve never set foot in a church should feel just as welcome as lifelong members. Your church handles the venue logistics (AV, seating, signage), and our team provides a planning guide with everything you need to prepare.
