‘Assassination attempts on Trump reveal the depravity permeating American culture,’

says Dr. Alex McFarland

‘Once upon a time, our country had strong biblical beliefs and a moral compass, but we have sacrificed it for the lawless anarchy that reigns today’

GREENSBORO, N.C. — GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recently survived yet another assassination attempt, this time at a golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the suspect was apprehended without serious harm. Even as most of the country praises law enforcement for the quick response and positive outcome, a recent poll revealed that more than a quarter of Democrats believe America would be better off if former president Trump had been killed. The poll also revealed that many Americans believe that both assassination attempts are connected somehow, either through a premeditated, internal political attack or an outside organization.

This blatant hate towards Trump is indicative of a deeper issue in American society, according to youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland.

“The liberal media has painted Donald Trump to be such a villain that hundreds of thousands of people actively want his death,” said McFarland. “It’s clear that the public persona of Trump has become so distorted — thanks to the outrageous lies peddled by the leftist agenda — that people have equated this homegrown patriot to something truly horrendous. These assassination attempts on Trump reveal the depravity permeating American culture.

“Once upon a time, our country had strong biblical beliefs and a moral compass, but we have sacrificed it for the lawless anarchy that reigns today. We can only hope that the rest of the election season isn’t marred by more reprehensible attacks.”

Alex McFarland currently co-hosts Exploring the Word on the American Family Radio Network, airing daily on nearly 200 radio stations across the U.S. He is also the host of the “Alex McFarland Show,” which airs weekly on NRB TV and YouTube. The “Alex McFarland Show” podcast is available here.

McFarland and theologian Bert Harper, veteran cohosts of the nationally syndicated broadcast Exploring the Word, are proud to announce the launch of their latest book, “100 Bible Questions and Answers for Families.” A follow-up to their previous work, “100 Bible Questions and Answers,” this powerful new book promises to guide through some of the most common challenges and queries people have about God, the Bible, and Christian living.
