Did Jesus really claim to be God, or did His followers just say that about Him?

Indeed, Jesus did claim to be God on multiple occasions. When the Pharisees, who were well educated in the Scripture’s prophecies of a coming Messiah, heard Jesus claiming to be God they accused Him of blasphemy and cried out “crucify Him.”
