Southeast Guilford High School

Alex received an invitation to discuss the topic of Anxiety with one hundred students from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at his old school, Southeast Guilford High School. Ironically, Alex spoke publicly and visited the very classroom where he chose to go to a whole semester of summer school because he feared giving a speech in front of his class.

He and his wife, Angie, sponsored a Bojangles Biscuit breakfast. As students enjoyed breakfast, Alex talked to them about how to overcome anxiety and fear by putting their faith in Christ. During Q & A time, students discussed what made them fearful or caused them anxiety. Students admitted fears of storms, darkness, and the future. Alex was honored to be invited and to get to address these students’ fears.
