Dr. Alex McFarland’s Event This Past Weekend, Featuring Todd
Starnes, Lauren Green, Josh McDowell, J. Warner Wallace and Others,
Called on Christians from All Backgrounds to Pray for America

GREENSBORO, N.C.—Nearly 1,000 people gathered in the Greensboro, North Carolina, area this past weekend to hear from a stellar lineup of speakers, but more importantly, to commit to pray for America and to “Save a Nation”—the theme of the 2018 Truth for a New Generation (TNG) conference from religion and culture expert, national radio host and author Dr. Alex McFarland.

“What an exceptional Truth for a New Generation event this past weekend!” said McFarland. “Those in attendance were Christians from all backgrounds, but they had one common call—to pray for the nation, because we know there are forces at work with the intent to destroy our country. We thank our incredible speakers for helping Christians to learn how to better defend the truth as we joined together under the common knowledge that there is only one hope for America—the truth of God’s Word and the life-renewing grace of His Son, Jesus.”

Joining McFarland, who is also Director for Christian Worldview and Apologetics at the Christian Worldview Center of North Greenville University (NGU) in Greenville, South Carolina, were Fox News hosts Todd Starnes and Lauren Green, legendary apologist Josh McDowell, faith investigator J. Warner Wallace, “Counter Culture Mom” Tina Marie Griffin, former jihadi Kamal Saleem, American Family Association (AFA) Public Policy AnalystAbraham Hamilton III, and Juan Valdes, who leads a Spanish-speaking congregation in Florida and the ministry Reasons for Hope.

Attendees to this year’s conference were also treated to a screening of the AFA feature-length film, “The God Who Speaks,” for which McFarland was a contributor. “The God Who Speaks” was recently honored as the “Best Documentary” at the Christian Worldview Film Festival.

Truth for a New Generation was presented by Alex McFarland Ministries, American Family Association, American Family Radio, North Greenville University and Journey Christian Magazine. Life Community Church in Jamestown, North Carolina, served as the host.
