Several years ago I had the opportunity to speak at a series of revival meetings at a church in North Carolina. Shortly before the Sunday evening services, the pastor came to me distraught. “I’ve just found out my sister in Texas is in a coma,” he said. “She’s not expected to live.”
Recent controversies over transgender bathrooms and whether or not people should be expected to behave in accord with the gender of their birth are reminders of the pivotal questions of our times: Does truth exist? How does it apply to all people? Are there universal moral truths applicable to every one?
