‘A courageous ally’; Dr. Alex McFarland celebrates Trump’s negotiation for peace in the Gaza Strip
‘The Bible makes it clear that those who honor and help the nation of Israel will be blessed — let us hope that we can be counted among those’
GREENSBORO, N.C. — People around the world are watching with a sigh of relief as President Donald Trump helps negotiate a peace deal between Hamas and Israel, two years after the terrorist network attacked Israel unprompted, sparking a deadly war and a humanitarian crisis across the Gaza Strip. The new deal will include the return of Israeli hostages and the withdrawal of the armed forces. Trump has expressed his confidence that the hostages will be released on Monday. Both Hamas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have expressed their appreciation for President Trump’s assistance.
“President Donald Trump has been used by God to accomplish what the previous administration couldn’t, or wouldn’t, do: broker peace in the land of Israel,” said youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. “Whether the terrorists of Gaza will honor the commitment to peace remains to be seen. As God’s Word says in Psalm 122:6, we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The sovereign nation of Israel has the right to self-defense, to protect what is its own, and to live in peace. Throughout its lengthy history, Israel has not been able to do these things as most other nations have.
“Lasting peace in the Middle East will be a blessing. It is vital that we have strong leaders like President Trump who understand that the greatest service they can do for the world is to be a courageous ally of the Jewish people. The Bible makes it clear that those who honor and help the nation of Israel will be blessed — let us hope that we can be counted among those.”
