Minn. Attorney General’s failure to rebuke St. Paul protestors is a clear violation of federal law, declares Dr. Alex McFarland

‘Invading a church on Sunday morning to scream epithets at the worshippers is against all that’s decent and orderly, and it’s against the law’

GREENSBORO, N.C. After demonstrators in St. Paul, Minnesota, stormed a church service to protest one of the pastors who is also an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is defending these actions in the face of DOJ allegations of a federal violation. Top DOJ officials are looking into whether the agitators violated the FACE Act and the Ku Klux Klan Act, which are designed to defend religious and civil rights in the face of intimidation or force. “How they are stretching […] these laws to apply to people who protested in a church over the behavior of a religious leader is beyond me,” Ellison commented.

“In one of the most contorted applications of the First Amendment, Attorney General Keith Ellison told CNN anchor Don Lemon on site in front of the church that saying the protestors cannot be prevented from destroying a church service is a protection of the protestors’ First Amendment rights, an assault on their free speech, and their redress of grievances. Did I hear that correctly?” asked Dr. Alex McFarland, founder and president of Alex McFarland Ministries. “Mao’s anti-Christian cultural revolution is now full-blown in America. Would the obscenities shouted at church attendees by notorious protestor William Kelly be allowed at a mosque or school board meeting? Why aren’t more actions being taken by authorities to protect the law-abiding rather than to defend the lawbreakers, like these protestors invading a church with impunity?

“As Christians must stand firm to protect the rights of others, it’s also time to wake up and speak out for Christianity and Christian practice — freedom to peaceably worship was part of the founding of America, and that continues to the present moment. Invading a church on Sunday morning to scream epithets at the worshippers is against all that’s decent and orderly, and it’s against the law. Christians must persistently speak to salvation in Christ alone, and do everything possible ensure we can continue speaking in the face of the so-called resistance.”
