Alex McFarland Speaker Series event moved to Oct. 3
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Alex McFarland Ministries is postponing its Speaker Series event scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 14; the new date is Oct. 3. Alex McFarland Ministries is expanding it to be a major event, which includes not only the state of the union of the church, but the state of the union of the nation, with a special tribute to the ministries’ last speaker series guest, Charlie Kirk. The Sept. 14 event is not postponed out of fear, but out of the desire to honor Charlie, pick up the baton and carry on the message that freedom isn’t free, and truth still needs to be told. Alex McFarland Ministries will share additional information about the event in the coming days.
The October 3 Speaker Series event will examine the pivotal role of the local church, evaluating the successes, challenges and future directions of the American church and emphasizing what Christians should be doing to support and grow local congregations.

The Alex McFarland Speaker Series encourages Christians to think about what they believe, why they believe it, and how those beliefs impact their lives. The series brings thought leaders and subject matter experts together with intellectually curious audiences to provide information and springboard thinking on a range of topics. Dr. Alex McFarland is seeking to defeat the movements and social currents that encourage Christians to walk away from critical, well-informed thinking and equip them instead to be informed, powerful thinkers.
