Christians must act in upcoming midterms to save the soul of America, says Dr. Alex McFarland

‘Christian participation in voting is vital to the future of our nation’

GREENSBORO, N.C. — As the national midterm election looms ever closer, the need for Christians to storm the polls has never been stronger, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson’s recent talk with radio host Todd Starnes highlighted the obligation Christians have to engage the fallen world, noting that the time has come for Christians “to really live out our faith in the public square and to be involved in their civic affairs… America is a bright, shining light for religious freedom. We’ve got to exercise it, or it’ll be taken away from us.”

“American Christians have sat back and allowed secular culture to define this nation for far too long,” said youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. “Let me be clear: Christian participation in voting is vital to the future of our nation. A Christian worldview challenges us to support godly values wherever we live. When the prophet Jeremiah wrote to Jews exiled to Babylon, he instructed them to ‘seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper’ (Jeremiah 29:7). The same principle remains true today: vote and support leaders who most closely align with our biblical convictions.

“How can we authentically claim to live fully for God yet neglect to represent His values? Shouldn’t we care who leads our school board, our state and who represents us in Congress? From your county seat to the White House, whom we help elect will determine the future laws that impact us, our children and future generations. Strong Christian leadership can and will usher America back onto the godly path our Founding Fathers set before us when this nation was founded.”

To encourage Americans to be better equipped to vote, Alex McFarland Ministries compiled “10 Questions Every Voter Should Ask.”

In addition, Alex McFarland Ministries’ “Faith & Freedom” voter’s guide is designed to equip Christians to vote with confidence and conviction.
