Islamic intolerance of other ideologies creates a crisis of faith that cannot be ignored,

warns Dr. Alex McFarland

‘The recent attack on Jews in Australia gives us a view of the Muslim position regarding those they do not seek to convert’

GREENSBORO, N.C. The world watched in horror as a Hanukkah event in Bondi Beach, Australia, was attacked and seven people were murdered by suspects associated with the Muslim Brotherhood. This attack on the Jewish community, while tragic, is yet another assault on the non-Islamic world. One of the intellectual powerhouses of the Muslim Brotherhood, Sayyid Qutb, admitted that Islam cannot coexist with the rest of the world and therefore must be destroyed — starting with Christians worldwide. “Either Islam will remain, or jahiliyyah [secular civilization]; Islam cannot accept or agree to a situation which is half-Islam and half-jahiliyyah,” decreed Qutb.

“The recent attack on Jews in Australia gives us a view of the Muslim position regarding those they do not seek to convert,” said youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. “We know groups like the Muslim Brotherhood want non-Muslims converted or else. Sayyid Qutb of Muslim Brotherhood fame rejected any notion of a society that retained a non-Muslim portion. The left often speaks of tolerance and then supports Muslim groups that espouse the very height of intolerance. In contrast, Christendom is fundamentally about choice, the sinner’s decision to accept Christ as savior in atonement for sin. The Christian missionary, believer, or evangelist seeks to inform the non-Christian, allowing an educated decision to be made.

“At Christmas, we celebrate our God who came to earth as a man to provide a choice in the most important decision every person must make. Jesus, who commands the angels and has ultimate power over all things, came humbly to earth not with armies but with sacrifice to give all a choice. Christians grieve for those who do not choose Jesus, but we respect the right of individuals to choose. Our clear objective as Christian Americans is to maintain a free society where that choice can be freely made, while we make every effort to inform those making the choice about Jesus. Let us celebrate Christmas with a zeal embedded in the most important choice ever afforded man in the sacrifice of Jesus and His atonement for our sins available to anyone who would choose Him.”
