June 21-22 Event in Minneapolis Will Highlight God’s Transformative Power Through Bible Teaching, Worship and Inspiring Life Stories
GREENSBORO, N.C.—Religion and culture expert, author of 18 books and national host Dr. Alex McFarland will be a featured speaker later this month at the Restored Hope Network Annual Conference.
The “HOPE2019” conference on June 21-22 is a special event filled with powerful Bible teaching, worship and inspiring life stories of those who have dealt with same-sex attraction and been transformed by the living God. The gathering is geared toward strugglers, family members, loved ones, counselors, pastors, lay people and more.
“There is hope in Christ—in all situations and stages and struggles of life,” McFarland said. “The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:10 that ‘the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.’ The truth of God’s Word is powerful, and He is able to do exceedingly more than we could ever ask.”
Besides McFarland, additional speakers at the conference include:
- June Hunt—Author, singer, speaker and founder of Hope For The Heart, a worldwide biblical counseling ministry
- Dr. Juli Slattery—Clinical psychologist, author, speaker and the president/co-founder of Authentic Intimacy
- Phil Courson—Founding and Senior Pastor of Abundant Grace Community Church in Gainesville, FL.
The conference is set for June 21-22 at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4201 Regent Ave. N, Robbinsdale, Minnesota. For details on the schedule, lodging, speakers and more, visit www.restoredhopenetwork.org/rhn-annual-conference.
Conference attendees are also encouraged to attend the Freedom March at Minnesota’s State Capitol, 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Saint Paul. The free event from 1 to 5 p.m. CT includes open air testimonies and worship. Click here for more information on the march.
Restored Hope Network is a coalition of ministries serving those who desire to overcome sinful relational and sexual issues in their lives and those impacted by homosexuality. Restored Hope works alongside the body of Christ, the Church, and to connect those seeking help with local member ministries and other resources that are available, as well as support, equip and connect the local member ministries.
Restored Hope member ministries are led by pastors, counselors, well-equipped lay persons and many who have themselves overcome the impact of sexual and relational sin. The majority of its leaders have been involved in this redemptive ministry field for over 15 years, while some have served for 40-plus years.
McFarland is the creator of Truth for a New Generation Ministries, sponsored by Liberty University, which help Christians, especially young believers, know how to talk about their faith in Christ and share it with others, particularly in a culture where more and more young people are abandoning their beliefs, leaving church behind or even adopting atheist views.
