Court upholds religious freedom in Title IX dispute; ‘Christians must stand firm against further attacks,’ says Dr. Alex McFarland
‘Even as a large portion of the nation seeks to ignore common sense and bow down to the LGBTQ+ agenda, there are still people who uphold the ideals this nation was built on’
GREENSBORO, N.C. — In a positive move for Christian and religious freedom, a U.S. Court of Appeals has honored the religious-liberty exemption in Title IX after a disgruntled group of LGBTQ+ activists attempted to remove the opportunity for Christian college attendees to receive federal financial aid. Claiming discrimination due to their sexual preferences, the plaintiffs sought to repeal religious exemption when it comes to student loans and scholarships. Thankfully, the court ruled that “Title IX’s religious exemption does not violate the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.”
“Even as a large portion of the nation seeks to ignore common sense and bow down to the LGBTQ+ agenda, there are still people who uphold the ideals this nation was built on,” said youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. A much-requested orator who often speaks at Christian universities, McFarland has intimate knowledge of the inner workings of religious institutions.
“No one forced these plaintiffs to attend these universities,” continued McFarland. “They are adults and must deal with the consequences of their own choices. The idea that a Christian university cannot uphold Christian standards of belief is laughable, yet zealots like these are actually attempting to make that a reality. We cannot be shocked that a religious university actually wants to maintain its religious integrity! Christians must stand firm in their beliefs in the face of people who are determined to take away our religious freedoms. The liberal agenda cannot get in the way of our calling to live true to the Gospel.”
Alex McFarland currently co-hosts Exploring the Word on the American Family Radio Network, airing daily on nearly 200 radio stations across the U.S. He is also the host of the “Alex McFarland Show,” which airs weekly on NRB TV and YouTube. The “Alex McFarland Show” podcast is available here.
