Exodus of pastors from their calling causing a national crisis of faith, says Dr. Alex McFarland

GREENSBORO, N.C. — As the nation suffers from a general moral and spiritual decline, more and more pastors are finding themselves burnt out, unappreciated, and ready to leave their calling behind than ever before. A Lifeway Research report noted that pastors often feel isolated in their role in the Church, with many wrestling with internal conflicts and personal strife that leads to abandoning their spiritual calling.
This loss of spiritual leadership is directly correlated to the decline of America’s spirituality, commented youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. Having mentored and worked with clergy across the country for decades, McFarland has witnessed the toll on today’s pastors firsthand.
