‘Shame on Church leaders who use the pulpit to twist the truth of the Gospel,’ decries Dr. Alex McFarland
The Alex McFarland Speaker Series features engaging and provoking discussions from Dinesh D’Souza, Dr. Gary Chapman, Charlie Kirk and Lauren Green
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Despite the charge to lead the body of Christ with biblical guidance, famed pollster George Barna’s latest research shows that only 37% of Christian pastors have a working, robust biblical worldview. The concerning result of this separation from the Gospel is a warping of traditional, biblical values. For example, the head pastor from North Point Community Church, Andy Stanley, is under fire for approving a small group training video that instructs leaders to use “gender affirming language” when addressing transgender tweens and teens. The video advises leaders to use their chosen names and personal pronouns because if everyone else in that child’s life is affirming them, “we cannot be the last place a (trans) student feels comfortable.”
“It is a pastor’s sacred duty to shepherd his flock towards becoming holy vessels for Christ, not succumb to the lies and propaganda of the world,” said youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland. “Transgender teenagers come to the Church confused about their very identity and looking for guidance, and instead of lovingly and clearly directing them to God’s truth about their lives, pastors like Andy Stanley are telling believers to encourage this gender dysmorphia. We are called to be in the world, not of it! Shame on Church leaders who use the pulpit to twist the truth of the Gospel.”
In a world overflowing with opinions and half-truths, McFarland and Alex McFarland Ministries are proud to offer the Alex McFarland Speaker Series in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
