Wisconsin embraces evil by canceling 176-year-old abortion ban, says Dr. Alex McFarland

‘When will state lawmakers wake up and realize that these laws permitting abortion go against the core biblical foundations of America?’

GREENSBORO, N.C. On July 2, the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down a 176-year-old statewide abortion ban restricting abortion at any stage of pregnancy, with a 4-3 vote. After the 2022 Supreme Court Dobbs v. Jackson ruling that returned abortion decisions back to the state level, the 1849 abortion ban was reinstated, to the chagrin of the Democrat-heavy legislature. The plaintiffs argued that the ban violated the rights of patients and medical doctors under the state’s constitution.

The demise of Wisconsin’s strong anti-abortion policy is just the latest in a long line of attacks against the nation’s strong Christian foundation, according to youth, culture and religion expert Dr. Alex McFarland.

“When will state lawmakers wake up and realize that these laws permitting abortion go against the core biblical foundations of America?” McFarland declared. “The overturning of the abortion ban in Wisconsin is a clear indicator of how far our nation has fallen from any sort of moral compass. As Americans, we are guaranteed the right to freedom, so how come the unborn are never guaranteed that same right? People need to realize that from the very moment of conception, an unborn life should be treated with the same respect and dignity as any other American citizen.

“As Christians, it is our duty to speak the biblical truth, no matter the situation. We cannot allow societal pressure to sway our moral obligation. For those who cannot speak up for themselves, the Church must.”

On August 21, McFarland will speak with special guest Charlie Kirk on the topic of “uncommon sense” at the upcoming Alex McFarland Speaker Series in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. McFarland and Kirk will explore the critical intersections of thought, truth and policy in a robust conversation that challenges emotions with facts and encourages a reasoned approach to contemporary issues. This series is designed for anyone eager to engage with pressing issues and navigate the complexities of modern thought using solid information and timeless wisdom. Christians will have the chance to reflect on the evolving dynamics of political leadership and learn to defeat the movements and social currents that encourage Christians to walk away from critical, well-informed thinking.
